Expansion Joint is critical design factor of a plants industrial and utility ducting systems. They are filted directly as flexible connection pipe or flanges of ducting system to compensate for thermal expansion, vibrations, minor misalignment and torsion. Our products are produced in various configuration in order to meet virtually any application requirements and operating conditions. We Are offered field service to install, repair and inspection or supervice.
Belt Type – Layer of Expansion Joint filted directly to the frame of ducting. – Round, oval and rectangular cross section are available – Multy laye and single layer are available – Low temperature application and with low levels of particulate accumulation (-2 °C to 200 °C) – The pressure is resistant by the structure of materials, cover range of up to 3 bars.
Flange type – Same as Belt Type, layer of expansion Joint filted directly to flange of ducting – Used pillow are available for high temperature application
High temperature type – Same as Belt Type, used pillow are bolted under the expansion joint providing additional insulation for belt to frame. – Round, oval and rectangular cross section are available – For high temperature application (-2 °C to 200 °C)
Application Fabric expansion Joint are used in all Industrial Plants and Ducting System, Oil Refinery, Chemical and Petro Chemical Plants, Pulp and Paper Industry. Cement Industry, Gas Turbin Boiler, Exhaust Fan Dusting.
Material Structure 1. Multy Layer Expansion Joint Basically the structure of multi layer expansion joint is comprised into 4 groups : A. Sealling Membranes Sealing Mebranes are used for shaping the bellows and sealing element of expansion joint as well Detail pf sealing membranes are as follow :
– PTFE Coated Glass fiber, for use at elevated temperatures (up to 280 °C) and for good all-round chemical and acid resistance. – Silicon / fiberglass composite, for use at elevated temperature (up to 250 °C), has poor resistance to sulfuric acid and ideally should always be used in junction with PTFE liner. This material is becoming more popuiar as an economical membrane material. – EPDM (Ethylene Propylene) rubber / fiberglass, for use at lower temperature (up to 120 °C) and reasonable chemical resistance although a PTFE Liner
B. Insulation Material
– Choice of insulation material and number of plies for multi layer expansion joint are both adopted to the specific application – Commonly employed insulation material is glass cloth for use at elevated temperature up to 600 °C – Ceramic Blanket, tend to be weak and are therefore normally used only in sufficient thickness t reduce the temperature to bellow 600 °C when glass cloth can be used. Because of their low strength, ceramic blanket are normally held by stainless steel mesh which can be kniteed woven for maximum flexibility
C. PTFE Barriers PTFE Barrier use for all-round of chemical and acid resistance (PH 0-12)
D. Pillows Pillows are fabricated from selected ceramic insulation material and wrapped with a high temperature fabric designed for the operating conditions. Pillows provides thermal protection to the belt material for hight temperature application (up to 600 °C)
2. Single Layer Expansion Joint Single Layer Expansion Joint extensive range of PTFE Coated or laminated glass fiber cloth for used in thermal extreme, chemical hostile and high corrosive exposure. PTFE coating applied have the following unique properties : a. Outstanding temperature resistance (-150 °C to 320 °C) b. Non-Stick properties even at high temperature c. Most chemical and solvents resistance d. Good dimensional stability and flexibility e. High strength and low friction f. Easy to clean |
